  • Program Responsibilities
  • Conduct a broad teaching, research, and service agenda. This is accomplished through such programs as Master Gardner training classes, the WV Industrial Home for Youth horticulture training program, school garden programs, community garden club programs, Harrison County Farm Improvement Group, WVUES regional agriculture education programs, pesticide certification training, Clarksburg Farmers’ Market, Central Calf Pool, and various research activities involving vegetable and fruit variety trials and season extension.
  • Provide consultations to area farmers and homeowners on a variety of subjects such as insects, weeds, plant disease, arboriculture, landscaping, and soil testing.
  • Exercise the duties of County Program Coordinator for the local Extension Office.
